Article 31-
Terms and Conditions |
| 31.1 |
Terms and Conditions |
| |
Statement of terms and conditions shall be created from time to time for use as part of making known the legal obligations for fair use of the services provided by the Society including new Member applications. |
| |
It shall be a condition of provision of any service by the Society that a related Statement of terms and conditions is included and made available to any consumer of that service prior to the service being used. |
| |
In the construction of a statement of terms and conditions, the following criteria shall always apply: |
| |
(i) Nothing in a statement of terms and conditions may contradict one or more Articles of this Charter; and |
| |
(ii) The articles of this Charter shall always take precedence over any statement of terms and conditions and nothing written or implied in a statement of terms and conditions shall change this fact; and |
| |
(iii) A statement of terms and conditions may include such clauses not explicitly stated within this Charter provided such clauses are consistent with the intention of this Charter and a related statement from the Supreme Executive exists ratifying such clauses as a legitimate regulation; and |
| |
(iv) All statements of terms and conditions must be lodged and approved by vote at the appropriate level of the organization prior to use with a record kept. |
| 31.2 |
Conditions for Association |
| |
An Individual is deemed a full Member of the Society: |
| |
(i) They have acknowledged reading and accepting the terms and conditions of Association ; and |
| |
(ii) They have openly pledged their loyalty and allegance to the Society and they have signed, or indicated their agreement to this effect; and |
| |
(iii) They have not previously been expelled from the Society in the past five (5) years, or deemed inelligible due to membership of an organization deemed "illegal" according to the by-laws of the Society. |
| 31.3 |
Keys |
| |
Excluding Supreme Sponsorships, in order for an individual to be considered an Memberr, they must be invited and given a unique key as part of this process. |
| |
Even if a person is invited to join by an Member, they must be allocated a unique key by that member as part of the invitation process. Furthermore, Members shall be allocated a maximum possible number of keys after which they shall no longer be able to directly invite new Members. |
| |
By this Charter, this unique alpha numeric sequence or "key" shall be known as a Key of Globe Union and respected in itself as an object of great honor. |
| |
Accordingly, each Member shall be bestowed several Keys of Globe Union with which they are expected to seek out other worthy individuals as potential candidates for Association. |
| |
The number of keys allocated to an Member shall be determined according to the Formula for Member key allocation listed in this article. |
| 31.4 |
Universal standard allocation of keys to new Members |
| |
All Members upon being recognized as a full member shall be allocated four (4) Keys of the Society immediately upon becoming a full member to enable them to invite four more people to join. |
| |
This number shall never change and a new full member is not permitted to be given anymore Keys excepting under the guidelines stated in this Article. |
| 31.5 |
Universal standard allocation of keys to new Members |
| |
Keys allocated to a member are not transferrable to any other Member. Once a valid key is used as part of an invitation for an individual to join the Society, it cannot be used again. |
| |
If an invitation has not been accepted by an individual proceeding to view their provisional (guest) services within seven (7) days of issue, then the invitation shall be null and void. |
| |
In addition, all keys have a time expiry of 60 days after which time all unused keys shall be rendered null and void. A null key cannot be replaced. |
| |
The deliberate action of an Member to attempt to falsify keys, to seek to gain more legitimate keys or to abuse the key system shall be considered a grave offence liable to the expulsion of the member. |
| 31.6 |
Time Zone |
| |
The time zone for calculating Keys shall be Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) midnight as the end, or the beginning of a new day concerning the expiry of Keys or the calculation of maximum keys for re-issue. |
| 31.7 |
Formula for additional Membership key allocation |
| |
The allocation of additional Keys of the Society to Members in order to invite worthy candidates for membership after they have successfully allocated their first four (4) keys shall be determined by formula. |
| |
The formula shall be determined by these factors only: |
| |
(i) Which allocation round the member has now reached; |
| |
There shall be only three (3) allocation rounds in issuing additional keys to an Member for direct recuitment. After the third round, no keys shall be permitted to be allocated to a member again for the life of their Member membership. |
| |
(ii) The rate of successful membership recruitment. |
| |
The rate of recuitment in the shortest timeframe shall mean a member is rewarded with the largest possible allocation of additional Keys. The smallest allocation shall be determined by the longest timeframe to allocate keys and recruit members. |
| |
The allocation of keys from the beginning is not accumulative, but round by round. Therefore a member successfully recruiting six new members after being allocated a certain number of new Keys in the 1st round, will have their re-allocation of keys for the second round calculated on six, not six plus the first four members recuited in order to qualify for the first round. |
| |
The number of additional keys allocated to a member in the 2nd and 3rd round are determined by the rate of key allocation and timeframe in the first round. |
